EDUCATION AND TRAINING

International Students Our internship programme in collaboration with the Luke society, USA is designed to give qualified premed students an opportunity to experience in an international Christian medical missions for a period of 8 weeks to 6 months. The premed internship does not only prepare students for a career in medicine, it also allows them to contribute as volunteer to health initiatives. The premed internship helps them decide whether or not a career in medicine is right for them. During their internship period, they get to do rotate through General surgery, Ophthalmology, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics and Community health. We have had several students from Northwestern College, Wheaton College, Jefferson College, Drake University and many more.

Local Students
Luke Society Missions is also open and committed in training health trainees from health training institution across the country (Komfo Anokye NMTC, SDA NTC Kwadaso, Kokofu NTC, Dunkwa NTC, Mampong Midwifery and Nursing training, St. Patrick Midwifery and St. Micheal Midwifery Training). Currently the student nurses from these institutions get the opportunity to have their clinical attachments at St. Luke Hospital, Kasei for a period of 4-8 weeks.
